Kabey Konaté is a committed and charismatic Burkinabè singer who has shared the stage with the greatest of African reggae.
With his reggae universe sprinkled with Mandingo sounds, this young Burkinabe artist, born in Ivory Coast, continues a family tradition, led by his mother, sour cherry, and his older brother, famous percussionist.
In 2006, he performed his songs in the first part of an Alpha Blondy concert. In 2010, he released his first album, Douaou, the fruit of various collaborations. In 2014, followed a maxi album, African Elections. And in December 2017, he launched his third album, Kele Massa, confirming his talent as a committed artist.
Surrounded by the group Farafina Roots and its seasoned musicians, he transports us from the Mandingo country of West Africa to the Caribbean via Montreal, delivering his texts that are at the same time sensitive, profound, demanding and unifying.
