Né dans une famille de griots à Orodara, Siaka Diabaté a commencé son parcours musical en jouant du balafon sous la direction de son père. 2008 marque son aménagement à Ouagadougou et sa rencontre avec la kora rapidement devenue sa compagne de vie. Ses premières collaborations artistiques ont débuté en 2011 et l'ont amené sur les scènes du Burkina Faso et d'ailleurs. Depuis 2022, résidant à Ottawa, Siaka continue d'enrichir la scène musicale locale de son talent éclectique, en combinant les traditions africaines avec de nouvelles expériences musicales, créant ainsi une harmonie unique et captivante.

Born into a griot family in Orodara, Siaka Diabaté began his musical journey playing balafon under his father's guidance. 2008 marked his arrival in Ouagadougou and his encounter with the kora, which quickly became his life's companion. His first artistic collaborations began in 2011, taking him to the stages of Burkina Faso and beyond. Since 2022, living in Ottawa, Canada, Siaka continues to enrich the local music scene with his eclectic talent, combining African traditions with new musical experiences, creating a unique and captivating harmony.

La Piola est un groupe de folk argentin basé à Montréal, fondé par le bassiste Ivan Tolj. Le groupe se consacre à faire revivre les sons anciens du fleuve Plata et de la région littorale. En collaboration avec la voix envoûtante de la Porteña Maria Luz Seferiadez, ainsi que la percussion et la flûte, l'ensemble transporte le public vers les rythmes vibrants de la Milonga, du Candombe, des Chacareras et du Chamamé.
